On Tuesday, January 18, in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Er-Riyad, negotiations of Russian and US delegations began. Russia was represented by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, assistant of Russian President Yuri Ushakov and the head of the Russian direct investment fund (RDIP) Kirill Dmitriev.
Earlier, Dmitriev said that the Russian side in Riyadh talks hoped to convey its position to US President Donald Trump. In turn, Kremlin appreciated the process that had begun, note that it was too early to talk about the results.
